Micro TCA

Increasing data traffic demands flexible and reliable infrastructures.
With its efficient, scalable, high availability architecture with high
functionality and extensive backplane band width MicroTCA is a standard,
which fulfils the high demands of todays and tomorrows systems and
services. Even outside the telecommunication sector MicroTCA systems have
the potential to replace proprietary solutions with their flexible and
modular arrangement and thereby reduce application costs considerably.
MicroTCA is a very modular standard, with the aim to arrange AdcanvedTCA
modules without Carrier Boards directly in the backplane. This line of
thought expands the user spectrum for AdvancedMC in the Low End area of
cost critical applications. For the use of AdvancedMC modules (AMC)
without Carrier, the demands are defined in the PICMG® standard, for which
Schroff developed the entire mechanics.
