Multiprocessor PowerPC For Performance Signal Processing

GE Fanuc are leading the way with software based DSP solutions
based around multi-processor PowerPC architectures leveraging the
AltiVec technology to the full. This paper looks at the AltiVec, the
software libraries and the varied hardware architectures available to
provide performace solutions for a wide variety of signal processing
tasks including, but not limited to, medical imaging, software defined
radio, radar, sonar and general image processing.
