SBS Technologies designs and builds computer boards and systems that are the brains inside sophisticated products like robots, aircraft, spacecraft and unmanned vehicles.

We make more than 500 electronic components which can be configured in literally thousands of different ways. These products include I/O cards, single board computers, bus adapters, carrier cards, software drivers, development kits and complete systems.

Using COTS components, SBS Technologies® designs and builds rugged computing systems that can be quickly customized from our selection of in-house single board computers, carrier cards, PMCs and chassis. These fully integrated systems are tested and certified to function reliably in the extreme conditions of heat and cold, vibration, shock, G-force and high availability so common in the space, avionics, and military industries.

SBS products are designed to open standards such as CompactPCI (CPCI), VMEbus (VME), PCI, PCI-Express, PMC, PC/104, AdvancedMC for AdvancedTCA carrier cards, and Industry Packs. SBS single board computers are based on Intel® Architecture, PowerPC® and FPGA processors.

SBS has been a pioneer in developing FPGA Computing boards and software tools for image processing, digital signal processing and DSP applications like radar, sonar and software-defined radio. SBS also offers data bus analyzers for Avionics buses and a range of powerful, easy-to-use driver development kits.

SBS products are used by OEMs in industrial automation, medical imaging, communications, telecommunications, defense and aerospace. They are often available with special features to address the needs of these markets. These specialized products may be conduction cooled, conformal coated, rugged, engineered for extended temperature with build grades for harsh environments, or they may be designed with hot-swap support and IPMI management for high availability systems.
